Sunday School/ Youth Activities

As Proverbs 22:6 decrees, “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” In that spirit, the Federated Church has always been a welcoming place for the youth of our congregation and the wider community.

On Sundays, we offer a fully staffed Church School for children in preschool through high school. In addition to Biblical themes, our Religious Education classes –– led by longtime director Deb Hollett and veteran volunteer teachers — promote student involvement in world-bettering fund-raising campaigns, hands-on activities and occasional field trips.

Our Church’s young people also get the chance to shine during annual events such as the Christmas Pageant.

Additionally, a few minutes in each Sunday service are set aside for Children’s Sermon, during which Rev. Chase condenses the day’s larger religious message into an interactive and engaging lesson for our young ones.

For our youngest visitors, child care is always available during the Sunday service.

Along with Church School, a centerpiece of growing up in the Federated Church is the annual Youth Mission trip, undertaken each summer by chaperoned youths entering Grades 7 and above. Please visit our Missions page for more details.
